Boulder Insight is a boutique data consulting firm, based in Boulder, CO, offering visual analytics solutions by utilizing Tableau for Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and start-ups alike. I started as an intern in February 2022 where I worked within the Data & Dev team to assist in creating data stories and delivering solutions.
After the 3 month internship, I joined full time in order to continue gaining experience. At Boulder Insight, I was one of the essential bridges that connects the initial data discovery to its final point of ultimate potential, when it is handed off to our clients. My work focused on developing actionable insights for clients who operate as a leading global aerospace manufacturer, a multi-million private home developer, and a public health institute.

Equity Analyst, Jaguar Investment Fund
Jaguar Investment Fund (AUM $1.2million) is a student managed fund at the University of South Alabama. It was founded with the goal of giving Finance students a hands-on experience with equity analysis and portfolio management.
My responsibilities included evaluating equities, overseeing the utilities and real estate sector, and acting as the Economist by assessing the financial impact of current North American economic events.
Since inception, JIF has consistently outperformed our benchmark (S&P 500) with an annualized rate of return of 15.80% vs 12.36% for the S&P500, through September 2020.

Compliance Tax Audit Intern, City of Mobile
My primary role as a tax intern with the City was to assist in preparing preliminary audit summary for selected business. I identified accounting and auditing issues and performed research to solve issues that arise.
During the internship period, I liaised and analyzed financial accounts of 3 local businesses to ensure tax compliance with the City of Mobile and Police Jurisdiction. Microsoft Excel was used extensively in this role.

Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea
Selected to received the highly competitive Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship and Critical Language Scholarship to study in Seoul for a year.
As a Gilman Scholar, I dedicated my time abroad to enhancing Korean language skills and fulfilling degree credits in the School of Business.
While abroad, I took on two volunteering position during Jan - Feb 2020 as an Assistant English Teacher in Surat Thani, Thailand and Nong Khiaw, Laos for 8 weeks.
